TOEFL is a standardized test that measures the English proficiency of students who wish to enter college and university programs in the US and Canada. It is administered by Educational testing Service, New Jersey USA.
TOEFL is an internet based test (IBT).

TEST DURATION: 3 HOURS 30 MINUTES WITH A 10 MIN BREAK
The test comprises of four sections:

READING:    60 minutes - 3 passages ------------------------------------------------36-42 Questions

LISTENING: 60 minutes - 2 conversations + 4 lectures ----------------------------34 Questions

SPEAKING:  20 minutes - 2 independent tasks + 4 integrated- skills tasks ------6 Questions

WRITING:     60 minutes- 1 integrated- skills task + 1 independent task ----------2 Questions

All questions in the reading and listening section are Multiple Choice.
The TOEFL score is out of 120 points and a score of 80 points is considered adequate to procure admission.
