Most New Zealanders enjoy participating in a range of sporting activities. In Auckland, the 'City of Sails' - water sports of all kinds are very popular. In winter Skiing and mountain sports are within a few hours drive. The country (from 34 to 48 degrees latitude south) create a variety of climatic conditions, from sub-tropical to almost continental. Conditions are very changeable – a cool rainy day can suddenly turn sunny and hot. The mild climate is great for our agriculture and horticulture industries, which are vital to the economy.

There are eight government funded universities in New Zealand and all have internationally respected academic and research standards.
New Zealand Polytechnics which are named Institutes of Technology are state funded.
Visas are granted for the period of study. It will also specify the course to be undertaken and the name and location of the institute at which the student is enrolled. A visa is granted initially only for the duration for which the student pays his/her tuition. Further extension of visa can be dome in New Zealand as and when the student pays his fees. Work Opportunities International Students pursuing Diploma & Degree programs may work for up to 15 hours a week during term time and full time during vacation.

•Proficiency in English language is considered as a positive indicator in assessing a student visa application. •IELTS score of atleast 5.5 or evidence of having met English language entry requirements for the course of study in NZ, which ever is applicable and higher. •They do not accept TOEFL results and do not accept NZ Institutions in house English tests as evidence that the student meets the level of English specified for the course.
