The test aims to assess the English language skills and is approximately 2 hours 40 minutes long. The IELTS test is conducted twice a month by British Council and IDP.

It has two modules:   ACADEMIC  & GENERAL TRAINING

The ACADEMIC module is for those who wish to study overseas and is accepted in Australia, UK, New Zealand, Canada, US and Singapore. The GENERAL TRAINING module is for those who desire to migrate to Australia, UK and Canada.
It has three sections namely:

LISTENING:    30 minutes -   40 ITEMS
+10 minutes to transfer answers

READING:      60 minutes - 40 ITEMS
